Fresh Tomato Salsa

This easy, fresh tomato salsa recipe makes about 5 cups — enough to serve a crowd. If you like spicy salsa, use the full amount of jalapeños and add more cayenne pepper. Serve with chips, tacos and more.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced tomatoes, (5-6 medium)
  • 3/4 cup finely diced red onion, (about 1 small)
  • ¼ cup red-wine vinegar
  • 1-2 jalapenos, seeded and minced
  • ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper, or more to taste

Directions

  1. Combine tomatoes, onion, vinegar, jalapeno, cilantro, salt and cayenne in a medium bowl.
  2. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
