Contact the enrollment broker Maximus by visiting yourtexasbenefits.com or calling 800-964-2777 (TTY 7-1-1) to chose a dental plan.

Once you enroll with DentaQuest, you may choose your Main Dentist and if you don't choose you'll be given the name and phone number of a dentist near your home. This will be your Main Dentist responsible for your dental care.

That’s the standard for deciding whether Medicaid or CHIP will cover a dental service for your child.  For dental services or products provided, the test is whether a prudent dentist would provide the service or product to a patient to diagnose, prevent, or treat dental pain, infection, disease, dysfunction, or disfiguration in accordance with generally accepted procedures of the professional dental community.
