DentaQuest provides dental coverage through Georgia Families® to eligible men, women and children who are members of Georgia Medicaid. These populations are served by Amerigroup to ensure continuity of health care and improved health outcomes. Members of the following Amerigroup plans have access to DentaQuest dental benefits.

Medicaid

Members ages 21 and under and pregnant women have covered benefits as part of Medicaid EPSDT services.

Prevention

• Dental exams (every six months)
• Cleanings (every six months)
• X-rays (every six months)

Treatments

• Fillings
• Extractions (teeth removal)
• other medically necessary treatments

Benefits that are not covered for pregnant members over the age of 21 are:

• Root canals
• Dentures (full and partial) 
• Implants 30
• Orthodontia (braces) 

PeachCare for Kids (CHP+) 

Your Georgia Medicaid CHIP Program will cover:

• Most basic preventive services including, cleanings, exams, sealants, x-rays and fluoride
• Restorative treatments such as most fillings, crowns and extractions (teeth removal) that are determined medically necessary
• A very limited orthodontic benefit if your child meets the medically necessary criteria. Cosmetic orthodontia is not a covered benefit.
• Additional dental services. Your dental provider has a list of what specific services are covered.
