Dave Olson

Dave Olson is responsible for driving profitable growth with solutions that meet evolving client needs and industry trends. Dave oversees business development, including sales, proposal management, client retention and market expansion. He leads the development of dental and vision solutions across government-sponsored programs (Medicaid and Medicare Advantage), commercial and state health exchange plans. Dave is passionate about providing affordable, quality health care solutions that align with DentaQuest’s Preventistry® approach to oral health.

Previously, Dave was senior vice president, Business Development and Health Plans, for DentaQuest, which was acquired by Sun Life in 2022. Prior to DentaQuest, Dave spent over a decade in health care management consulting and held several leadership roles at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, where he created and led vertically integrated care delivery solutions and a Medicare Advantage plan.

Growing up around his father’s dental practice, Dave has long been focused on helping people access the care they need to see improved oral health. He is committed to improving medical-dental integration (MDI) to help people achieve better overall health outcomes. Dave has volunteered with the Center for Children who are Visually Impaired in Kansas City and was on the Board of Missouri Valley Life and Health and Blue-Advantage Plus of Kansas City, Inc.

Dave received his bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza School of Business.
