Keep Your Breath Fresh

Bad breath (also known as halitosis) can be caused by eating certain foods, bad oral hygiene, gum disease, dry mouth, tobacco use, or medical problems. Most of the time, making a few simple changes to your oral health habits will make your breath fresh again.

Brush your teeth twice a day and floss once a day. Brushing and flossing will reduce the bacteria in your mouth that cause bad breath. Brushing your tongue can help get rid of bacteria on the tongue’s surface. Regular cleanings by a dental professional will prevent build-up of plaque in the mouth. Don't use tobacco products.

If you are doing all of these things and you still have a problem, talk with your dentist or doctor. They will work with you to find the cause.
