Diversity Equity and Inclusion

DentaQuest recognizes the central role that business plays in society, and the role that oral health plays in overall health, economic opportunity, and quality of life. We use our donations and sponsorships, volunteerism, and advocacy to strengthen communities, to promote economic justice and to foster inclusion.

Board Commitment

The DentaQuest Board of Directors is a diverse and inclusive group of leaders focused on improving the oral health of all. The Board is committed to advancing diversity and inclusion within the Board itself and across the enterprise. In 2020 the Board approved a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) plan to foster inclusion, collaboration and camaraderie to drive innovation, spur growth and create a great work environment. Their commitment is deep rooted in the mission of the enterprise - “of all.” The strength of their commitment is also in the numbers: 71% of the Board is comprised of women and 29% are ethnically diverse, people of color.

CEO Action

DentaQuest is a signatory to CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion, the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace.

“I am personally committed to The CEO Action for Inclusion pledge, and to prioritizing diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our business to create opportunities where they may not otherwise exist, to drive innovation, and to best serve our communities.”
-
Steve Pollock, President and CEO, DentaQuest

Investing in an Inclusive Dental Care Workforce

A diverse dental care workforce is associated with better access to quality care for minority communities, greater care choice and satisfaction, and managers and policymakers better prepared to meet the needs of America’s diverse population.
