Brian Souza

Chief Impact Officer

When it comes to developing and implementing creative solutions to improve the health of our nation and reduce existing disparities, Brian Souza sets a high bar. Having worked with health care nonprofits for over two decades, Brian understands the importance of collaborating across disciplines, organizations, and communities. Brian brings his passion for health care, business acumen, and nonprofit expertise to oral disease and health disparities in his role as Chief Impact Officer at DentaQuest, Brian oversees a 70-person team that includes the DentaQuest Foundation, the DentaQuest Institute, DentaQuest Oral Health Center, and the Impact Integration Group. 
 
Together with Mike Monopoli (Executive Director of the DentaQuest Foundation), Brian leads DentaQuest's philanthropic strategy, investing $17 million annually at the national, state, and community levels to improve oral health. With Tequila Terry, (Executive Director of the DentaQuest Institute) and Dr. Brian Novy, (Director of Practice Improvement of the DentaQuest Institute) he leads DentaQuest's clinical and quality improvement solutions, working to improve the delivery of person-centered oral health care through prevention and disease management. Lastly, working with the Impact Integration Group, Brian leads efforts to leverage internal and external innovation into DentaQuest's benefits and care business products and services. 
 
Prior to DentaQuest, Brian has served in a number of leadership roles in the health and social service sectors, including at the Boston Partnership for Older Adults, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Community Care Alliance, and Kit Clark Senior Services. Brian also serves on the board of Our Space, Our Place, an after-school program for blind youth, and the Farm-Direct Coop, a large community supported agriculture program in the Greater Boston area.
 
Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work degree focused on non-profit management, both from Boston University.
